Development of new CNC post processors tailored to client specifications
-
Editing or modifying existing post processors
-
Post integration with supported CAM software (e.g., Autodesk PowerMill, Fusion 360, FeatureCAM, PartMaker)
-
Limited testing support and G-code simulation assistance
We provide these services on the basis of the information, machine specifications, controller documentation, and sample G-code provided by the client. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that all machine-specific information is accurate and complete.
2. Intended Use and Testing
Post processors are intended for use by qualified CNC programmers and machine operators familiar with both their CAM software and machine tools. All generated G-code must be reviewed and tested through proper verification methods, including:
-
CAM software backplotting and simulation
-
Dry runs and single-block testing on the machine tool
-
Operator oversight during initial machine runs
The Company does not provide on-site testing unless separately contracted and does not assume responsibility for the machine environment into which the post processor is deployed.
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
-
Provide complete and accurate machine specifications, post processor requirements, sample parts, or example G-code.
-
Perform adequate G-code verification and machine safety checks before executing any programs on equipment.
-
Use qualified personnel for implementation and testing.
-
Maintain appropriate backups and safety protocols during all programming and machining operations.
4. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, CADCAMPilot, LLC, including its officers, employees, agents, contractors, and affiliates, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from or related to the use, misuse, or performance of any CNC post processor developed, edited, or delivered by the Company.

-
Physical damage to CNC machines, tooling, or workpieces
-
Production downtime or business interruption
-
Injury or harm to operators or third parties
-
Damages resulting from programming, setup, or operational errors
Clients expressly acknowledge and agree that any damage, loss, or injury resulting from operator error, programmer negligence, or failure to follow standard machine safety practices is solely the responsibility of the client and their personnel.
Furthermore, the client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CADCAMPilot, LLC from any claims, liabilities, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of the client's use of the post processor, or any resulting damages caused by improper setup, testing, or execution.
Some jurisdictions, including California, may restrict limitations on liability. In such cases, the Company’s liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific post processor service in question.
5. No Warranty
Post processors are delivered “as-is” without any express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Functionality may depend on the specific CAM software version, machine configuration, or other third-party tools not controlled by the Company.
6. Modifications and Updates
Minor revisions to correct post processor logic or formatting errors may be included for a limited period following delivery, as outlined in the project scope. Any major updates, format changes, or support for new machine configurations may require a separate agreement and service fee.
